Schedule Changes

Starting Thursday, August 29th you'll hear "Music of the Spheres," a new classical program from noon to 2pm produced by local volunteer Mark Shulgasser. This will replace "Chicago Symphony Orchestra."

Starting Friday, August 30th local volunteer Thane Peterson will host "Living Jazz" each week from 1-2pm. This new jazz program will focus on jazz artists who are still making great jazz. This replaces Jon Weber's Piano Jazz. You'll still hear Marian McPartland at 2:00. Thane is filling in the 1-2pm slot with some of his favorite Jazz music until the 30th, so tune in for a taste of what to expect.

Saturday August 31st marks the first day of our revised Saturday Night Lineup. You'll hear "Spanglish con Ella" from 7-9pm every Saturday, followed by the hip world music program "Afropop Worldwide" from 9-10. "Old Skool Sessions" with Paul Starkey and DJ Chucks starts a half hour early at 10:00 and goes until 2 in the morning

Vogue magazine describes Le Show as "wildly clever, iconoclastic stew of talk, music, political commentary, readings of inadvertently funny public documents or trade magazines and scripted skits."

      Sinner's Crossroads

      Kevin Nutt / WFMU

      Sun, 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Scratchy vanity 45s, pilfered field recordings, muddy off-the-radio sounds, homemade congregational tapes and vintage commercial gospel throw-downs; a little preachin', a little salvation, a little audio tomfoolery.
