For more info on the Hayride check out this website: Coming in November on Oxford University Press is a book about the Hayride: Louisiana Hayride: Radio and Roots Music along the Red River by Tracey Laird. Also, the record label Scena has reissued a bunch of Louisana Hayride recordings by Johnny Cash, June Carter, George Jones and Johnny Horton but I can't track down their website. You can find the cds at online music retailers.
