Today is the singing history and the songs from Rise Up Singing
Stud's Turkel calls RISE UP SINGING the singing history of the
United States: a play-work-fight-freedom hymnal.
Pete Seeger says; "If you like to sing with friends this is the book
you've always wanted. Most people know the tunes to hundreds of songs,
but know the words to only a few."
Rise up signing is a compilation of 1,200 songs. Arranged by subject
such as war, weather, gardening, farm, faith, home, america, fun, play,
