Saturday Oct 3, 2009: Two Area Music Conferences plus
Welcome to the member-funded, hydro-powered, volunteer-run studios of WJFF.
Thanks to staff and station management for accommodating my health issues and maintaining a chemical and fragrance free environment. after decades of working in the contemporary folk world, doing the show each week is something I enjoy, so complying with accommodations allow me to continue to volunteer Saturday mornings.
Folk Plus is a mostly lyrically and theme based show of contemporary singer-songwriters, some older cuts and perhaps a spoken word or broadway entry, all based on a theme.

In two weeks, on October 16 - 18, 2009 at the Friar Tuck Inn,
Catskill NY 12414, The Folk music sociey of New York is hosting a
conference called
Eisteddfod - 2009" A Festival of
Traditional Music with over 32 traditional singers and
perfomers at three days of workshops and performances.

The NorthEast Regional Folk Alliance
Conference will be held November 12-15, 2009 at the Hudson
Valley Resort in Kerhonkson, NY
The conference includes: workshops, panel discussions, seminars,
an exhibit hall, formal showcases in the nightclub, and private and
guerilla showcases in individual hotel rooms all night, or large
designated areas.
