Sing Out!: A Concert Celebration of Pete
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4726633Sing Out! held a 55th Anniversary concert in May of 2005, celebrating
the life and work of one of our founders, and longest time supporters: Pete
Seeger. The concert was recorded by David Dye, and released as a two-
hour radio special ("Sing Out!: A Concert Celebration of Pete Seeger")The sold-to-the-rafters event featured performances by Pete, as well
as (in order) Holly Near, Bernice Johnson Reagon, Stephan Smith,
Tracy Schwarz & Ginny Hawker, Janis Ian, Odetta, Judy Collins, Bruce Cockburn,
Natalie Merchant, Ronnie Gilbert, Pete (again) and then a "grand
finale" followed by spontaneous serenading by the audience ... all
hosted by the inimitable Gene Shay.
Thanks especially to concert organizers Scott Atkinson and David
Baskin, as well as a host of others who helped along the way (including Jim
Mussleman of Appleseeds Recordings, and MANY of the great DJs on this list).
We should no longer accept the counsel
of those who tell us that we must fill our world with poisonous chemicals,
we should look around and see what other course is open to us."

Thanks to all
well wishers with my curret battle with neurotoxic
poisoning and chemical sensitivities and welcome
to new listeners on the web. (http://pagewebberink.com/~angie/)
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments
that take our breath away.
